About The Rothman Report

The Rothman Report publishes deeply sourced news and analysis for people who want the facts behind the headlines, and want to be able to check them.

We cover politics, the courts, Israel and the Middle East, the media, crime and the culture, from a perspective that is openly conservative, pro-American and pro-Israel. We don’t pretend to have no point of view. What we promise instead is that our point of view never substitutes for the facts.

Our standards

  • Every claim is sourced. Each article ends with a Sources box linking to the court filings, official records, transcripts, video and original reporting it relies on. Where we can link a primary source, we do.
  • Quotes are exact. When we put words in quotation marks, they are the speaker’s words, checked against the transcript, recording or document.
  • Dates are real. If a story is about an older event that is newly in the news, we say so in the article.
  • Facts and opinion are labeled by the writing. Our articles report what happened and then tell you what we think it means. The closing line of each piece is our view, and it reads like one.
  • We correct mistakes openly. See our corrections policy.

How we work

Many of our stories begin as posts on M.A. Rothman’s X and Facebook accounts. The Rothman Report is where the best of them are researched further, expanded and checked against their sources before publication. Every article is published under the editor’s responsibility.

We publish still images only: our own graphics and public-domain government photos. We don’t republish other outlets’ photos or video.

Who we are

The Rothman Report is edited by M.A. Rothman, a USA Today bestselling novelist and 30-year Silicon Valley engineer. Ownership and funding are described on our ownership and funding page.
